PTZOptics Adds NewTek Connect Pro to Producer Kits for IP Workflow

PTZOptics has announced that NewTek Connect Pro is now included in their Producer Kit production bundles. NewTek Connect Pro adds IP workflow capability to the bundles using NewTek NDI™ video and audio over IP technology. The PTZ Producer Kits are complete turn-key live streaming systems built around the Intel NUC Skull Canyon Micro-PC, Magewell 3G-SDI/USB Framegrabber, HuddleCamHD Serial Joystick Controller and all necessary cabling. The two base kits are available with either a 12X or 20X optical zoom 3G-SDI camera; two add-on kits provide a second camera and frame grabber, and requisite additional cabling.

A Producer Kit can be used for simple streaming with basic production values. For a show with full broadcast production values including graphics, text, transitions, multi-layered video, virtual sets, etc., a kit can be used in conjunction with an IP-enabled multi-camera integrated production system such as TriCaster®.

NewTek Connect Pro is installed on the Micro-PC, and enables IP workflow by making the camera feeds available on the local network via NewTek NDI. NDI is a royalty-free IP technology for bi-directional transport of audio, video, application communications, and metadata, that has been integrated into hundreds of products and is now in the hands of millions of users worldwide. Any NDI-enabled production system or application on the same local area network will be able to use the camera feeds, eliminating the need for bulky and expensive dedicated video cabling to carry the signals and multiplying the creative possibilities for live production and streaming.
